But I still think polygyny is a viable and Biblical option. The biggest problem is the lack of healthy spiritual and community support.

Usually Orthodox religion does not get much coverage. I was pointing out that recently couple of Christian influencers have made it to center of discussion. Ruslan KD was talking about them as well
In the end David Wood mentions that he will discuss topics we mentioned here.
David Wood is right in calling out Orthodox bros for aligning themselves with Muslims to attack protestants. Jay Dyer and Andrew Wilson deserve some proverbial spanking, and I will be happy to see it happen. Because those arrogant shmucks deserve it.
I hope their (Dyer and Wilson) attitudes are exception and not the norm.

It’s a very interesting topic. Perhaps a different video? This was way too much of a feminine cat fight, word vomit for me.

I’ve been following this as it has happened and I think David Wood is right in his tactics here. Dyer was actively supporting Islam and saying that Coptic Christian’s literally slaughtered by ISIS weren’t martyrs. He then implied that anyone not an Eastern Orthodox was no better than a Muslim anyway. It was a pretty egregious statement.
Perhaps it’s because I haven’t been following the events in question that it seemed all too catty for me. I’ve grown tired of all the back and forth dart throwing amongst all the different podcasters telling me what to think, who’s right and what’s wrong. It’s wearisome.
It’s possible that I may have thrown the baby out, but for someone not up to date on the events, it was extremely hard to follow. Maybe some clips of the offenses might have helped instead of us relying on his interpretation of the events.
But I think @steve is correct that maybe a separate thread is in order. I’m just as guilty as others at turning a welcome thread into a debate thread.
As someone who has paid zero attention to the various pontificaters, I have no understanding of the situation and this video was very off putting.
It might be very beneficial to have a discussion thread about what these men are saying because they do represent a portion of the overall community. I mean, if someone who represents Christianity is saying these things I’d like to see it discussed without the clawing.
Not that kid gloves are necessary, Yeshuah wasn’t hesitant to call out hypocrisy.
