What are people's views on age gaps?

It's lovely to see guys with significantly younger women here and with obviously mixed race babies and kids. The women often look particularly happy and the guys will smile when eyeballed. I think God put it in our DNA to enjoy and be pleased with such a scenario.

I think the number is actually 25.
 
The ages for peak fertility vary from woman to woman, just as Menses and menopause are varied. It’s largely genetic and race based.
 
yeah? i havent heard that one. i figured fecundity was highest around mid-late teens for all women.

My aunt knows a woman personally who had her last two children at 54 and 56 years of age very intentionally. I will be very surprised indeed if I am not finished bearing children myself. I was going on 45 when my youngest was born.

While the average age of menarche has been decreasing for years, it can still vary and is not atypical to have some females not start until 16 or 17. I believe Asian females on average begin later in life.

And fertility can be effected by simply not stopping having children and close, sustained proximity to other fertile women.

I’m not so sure about the proximity to fertility, but I do believe that I read that pregnancy promotes pregnancy. It’s hormonal. Certain hormones stay elevated. I’ll have to go research again when I have time.

But…we’re rabbit trailing, Unless the original poster wants to continue to indulge.

I definitely heard that for a source that I found credible at the time but I can’t remember where now so I can’t defend the statement.

I don’t doubt it, I’ve just never heard of it. But, there does seem to be some evidence that menstrual cycles tend to sync in extended proximity to other fertile females. That could easily be a likely extension.
