I feel better having Vance negotiate than Kushner and that other guy. Vance has some weaknesses, but he comes from heritage American stock, and served in our military. He isn't some rich spoiled kid, and he seems to care about us Americans.

yes yes... I know who is above it all but I prefer a national leader who is working for me than one that is working against me. Even if I know that the evil ones will have to face the true judge someday...

Do not be afraid to put boots on the ground. Do not anounce your unwillingness to do this. Join Kurdish people who make 10 % , and then the other 30 % of non Persians will join, also Kurdish would join from Iraq. But they would need to know that Trump would not abandon them like he did when they fought ISIS in Syria. After leadership was taken out it would have been ideal time, but Trump announced that he would not put boots on the ground (half measured response). Momentum of the situation would have taken out the regime. Trump encouraged protest in Iran but did not back it up with anything because he was worried to appease isolationists and those who were pushing Russian interest aka groypers. I think it could have been successful procedure but unfortunately Trump is incompetent. I agree with Mark Levin's criticism of failed operation, regime change is necessary to remove ideology.

We can’t change ideology. We’ve proven that. Compassionate conservatism failed. I was a big believer in it at the time. I thought that Iraqis and Afghans were going to treat us like Parisians in 1944. They did not. The truth is that a majority of Iranians must be okay with how they live. They put up with it. We can’t give them freedom.

All we can do is impose whats good for America when other countries controvert that good too far. I hate it for the Iranian people. I wish them the best. In a perfect world I would support the establishment of an independent Kurdistan. The Kurds have gotten a raw deal for years.

I’m not sending my sons to do it though. There are things worth dying for and causes I would be proud to see them in the arms of their savior over, Iran isn’t one of them.

This isn’t academic either. Two of my sons are infantry Marines. One of my daughters is still in the inactive reserve and her fiancée is active duty Air Force. My grandson’s father is an active duty Marine as well. We’re a military family. I’m not adverse to military adventures abroad. But they have to be worth the young people we’re going to lose. They have to be worth the foreign young people we’re going to kill.

When we perform violence against our fellow man we are striking at the image of God. That makes violence a sacred act that has to pass religious scrutiny.

The regime in Tehran is a legitimate target. They are undeniably murderers and much else. But a land war in Iran is a different proposition than decapitating a regime.

We can open the strait from the air. That’s good enough.

Many "recent Americans" are good folks and we as a country have benefitted from them. My wife is one of them, and I think @Transformator Reformator is one too (in spite of his opposition to Calvinism ).

It's certainly not an overarching factor, or a magic pill. It is simply one of many factors in the world. Culture is transmitted from parents to children (at least partially).

Vance's Catholicism concerns me. Rome didn't "create" MO, as it was already the established cultural practice of the pagan Greco-Roman society, but Rome adopted this pagan practice, and forced this perversion upon the Christian Church.
